Hi, I am Akansha, and Careकली is my brainchild.❤️
However, long before, I could openly talk about periods and think of creating a sustainable brand, it is safe to say that my early experiences with it were scary.
Growing up in a stigmatized society, I knew the restrictions imposed on
menstruating girls-we cannot eat a pickle, enter the kitchen, water the plants, pray in a temple or touch an idol. For 5 days
we are banned from every activity that seems normal for the rest of the month.
Not only I feared punishment from the society, I could
not bear the thought of upsetting the Almighty.
Nevertheless, it was my mother who made it easier for me. I remember her
telling me that periods are a natural process, one of the
Creator's many miracles. She helped me normalize the experience. That day I realized my mother had come a long way in breaking the shackles of prejudice, and within a month or two I did everything during my periods, and it's been 10 years since. ☺️
I live a normal life every day, and my Creator does not mind.
